Human players make up the game, as there are no options for computer controlled or AI players as of now (Nov 1, 2015).

The player can play a game or many games at once, provided the player has L2 Security Clearance.

The player makes decisions which will lead to his victory of mining 200kg of Neptunium through planning, diplomacy, warfare, and subterfuge.

The player can talk with other players through the messaging system. The player can choose to talk publicly (Public Chat) or with any specified amount of players.

The player must protect the Queen, for when she dies, the player will lose the game she is present in.

The player can make private notes on other players, provided they have L2 Security Clearance.

Players who have L2 Security Clearance can opt to partake in ranked games which will track their performance with an ELO system starting at 1200, which increases or decreases depending on their performance in the game as follows:

Your ranking is calculated as if you played a 1v1 game against each person playing. (If you come in first in an eight player game, you essentially won seven games. If you come in second, you lost one and won six games, etc.)

The formula is:
R(1) = Your ranking
R(2) = Opponent's ranking
D = 400
S(x) = 1 (win) or 0 (lose)
K = 20

New ranking = R(1) + K[S(x)-[1/(1+10^(((R(2)-R(1))/D))]

You should also know that the points gained equals the points lost for each game, but due to rounding, may be off one. One interesting property of this formula is that only the difference between the players matters.

Ranking Calculation Example
Place Orig. v1 v2 v3 v4 v5 v6 v7 v8 New
1st 1576 6 4 3 2 2 6 2 1601
2nd 1443 -6 7 5 4 4 9 4 1470
3rd 1341 -4 -7 7 6 7 12 6 1368
4th 1246 -3 -5 -7 9 9 15 9 1273
5th 1209 -2 -4 -7 -9 10 16 10 1223
6th 1212 -2 -4 -6 -9 -11 15 10 1205
7th 1426 -6 -9 -12 -15 -16 -15 4 1357
8th 1200 -2 -4 -6 -9 -10 -10 -4 1155
  • These numbers are a little off because of rounding. For example, the game where 1st beat 2nd the real points exchanged were 6.34859229050456.
